Terms of service
1. Who we are
Ambrotone is an AI photo and video studio operated by the Ambrotone team. These terms cover the website, the studio and the API. While this preview is running they describe how we intend to operate rather than a contract — see the notice at the top of this page.
2. Your account
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13 in any case. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for everything done under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
3. Credits
Generations are metered in credits. The price of a job is shown before you start it. Credits are held while a job runs and only debited when it finishes successfully; a failed job releases the hold. Credits are not money, cannot be transferred, and are not redeemable for cash. They do not expire while your account is open.
4. What you upload
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the licence we need to run your job, store the result and show it back to you. You confirm that you have the right to use every photograph you upload, including the right to use the likeness of anybody in it.
5. What you may not do
No content that is illegal where you or we operate. No sexual content involving minors, ever. No impersonation of real people without their permission, no deceptive political content, no harassment. The content policy sets out the detail, and it forms part of these terms.
6. Results
You own the outputs you generate, to the extent that ownership is possible for machine output where you live. We make no promise that a given output is unique, accurate or fit for a particular purpose. Generative models are probabilistic; sometimes they are simply wrong.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the studio running but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Models we depend on go down, and when they do we refund the job rather than guess at a substitute.
8. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us. Deleting an account forfeits unspent credits.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and, for material ones, email you before they take effect. Carrying on using Ambrotone after that means you accept the new version.
